Crane climber remains in custody awaiting bail hearing
A topless woman who climbed a construction crane and broke into its cab was denied bail on Friday.
On Thursday morning, a woman broke into a construction site at Lakeshore Blvd. and Bathurst St., which caused Toronto high-risk emergency task force personnel to respond.
It took two hours to get the hysterical and uncooperative woman to the ground.
Lindsey Flockhart, 34, was charged with two counts of mischief over $5,000, in part because she destroyed the crane’s cab leaving it inoperable. She was also charged with failing to comply with a probation order.
On Friday, her bail hearing was put over until Aug. 22.
In Apr., 2017, a woman scaled a construction crane at Wellesley and Yonge Sts., which also took up the time of expensive and highly trained emergency personnel.
