On August 29th, 2018, a unique sight was spotted in the New York skies. A two-armed UFO was seen over Cedarhurst, New York. The craft, which had several long, thick arms, floated over the city for a few minutes before disappearing, says Scott. C Warring, owner of the Ufosightingsdaily blog.

Although eyewitnesses could only get several seconds of footage, it was enough to get some screenshots. From the screenshots, it is clear that the object is of an unknown shape and design. Where it came from or where it went, no one knows.

“It’s like nothing I have ever seen before. I do love when a UFO is reported with a shape that I have never seen before. It really challenges the imagination. If seeing is believing, then this is it.” said eyewitness Scott C. Warring.

He further added, “It was very odd looking, moving very smoothly. At first, I thought it was a helicopter carrying something, I had to stop and get a closer look. It was almost floating.”

Eyewitnesses described the UFO as having an octopus-like appearance with several long thick arms. It certainly was a strange piece of equipment.

According to new statistics, the amount of UFO visits are at an all-time high. The data also highlighted the fact that most of the sightings happened in the U.S. according to a report, UFO sightings have been increasing steadily. Over the last 100 years, there have been 104,907 reported UFO sightings on record.

The first recorded UFO sighting occurred in 1905 in Portland. The eyewitnesses then reported seeing a sphere-shaped “buzzing” UFO descending from the heavens. Over the last 30-plus years,however, sightings have spiked dramatically. The reported number of sightings increased from 5,000 in 1980, to approximately 45,000 in 2010. In 30 years, the number of reported sightings increased by over 10%.

Other information from the report also pointed to the fact that the UFO phenomenon has large being a U.S. based affair. The amount of sighting in the U.S. is 300 times more than the global median (2500 sightings per 10 million people). Most of these sightings are from states in the West and the Northwest with states from the Northeast following not far behind.

Recently, UFO sightings have been far and few in-between. However, the New York Times released the results of an investigation back in December showing the US military monitoring claims of UFO. The results were very interesting to behold. The Pentagon released a video showing US Navy pilots tracking the movements of a completely unexplainable aircraft.

Throughout the monitoring, the Navy reported that the aircraft might have demonstrated a “cloaking” ability, allowing it to disappear completely from the human eye. It rapidly descended from 60,000 feet to just over 50 feet before disappearing completely making Navy officials entertain the possibility that it had underwater capabilities.

This latest UFO sighting on Wednesday the 29th of August 2018 in Cedarhurst, New York is another US sighting that have UFO enthusiasts believing in the possibility of the unexplained.
